BEFORE COMMUNION
Preparing Our Hearts for Communion: A Call to Self‑Examination and Renewal in Christ
Communion is a sacred time of remembrance and renewal. As Scripture teaches, “Let a person examine himself, then, and so eat of the bread and drink of the cup” (1 Corinthians 11:28). Before we come to the Lord’s Table, we are invited to pause, reflect, and prepare our hearts. This is not simply a ritual, but a meaningful act of worship where we remember Christ’s sacrifice and affirm our faith in Him.
To help guide this reflection, we offer questions designed to encourage honest self‑examination in light of the Christian faith. They are not meant to discourage, but to draw us closer to God with sincerity, humility, and gratitude. As we examine ourselves, we acknowledge our need for His grace and renew our commitment to walk in His ways.
Approaching communion with this spirit ensures that we share in the bread and cup with reverence, unity, and joy—celebrating together the gift of salvation and the hope we have in Christ.
KIDS AND WORSHIP
Worship at Light of Life is a family experience. Young and old alike are invited and encouraged to worship together. There is also a children’s message before the sermon that children may participate in.
Children are welcome to serve in worship by singing, lighting candles, and helping with our media.
We have a nursery room with toys where our worship service can be viewed for those who wish to keep their kids occupied during the service.
Children are also invited to grow in their faith and knowledge of the Bible in our Sunday School Program.
BAPTISM

Whether you are seeking baptism for yourself or for your child, we see this step as a meaningful way to celebrate God’s grace and affirm your commitment to Him. If you are interested in learning more or scheduling a baptism, please contact Pastor Lange—we would be honored to walk alongside you in this important moment of faith.
