Welcome! As an outreach ministry, our preschool extends the mission of Light of Life Lutheran Church to prepare children for kindergarten. We provide opportunities for each child to explore and learn in a loving, Christian environment by gathering around the message of Jesus, growing in our love for him and each other, and going home ready to serve Jesus and others.

Registration for the 2026–2027 school year opens in January and early February. Please review the details below so you’re ready when your registration window begins.

How to Register
2. Our preschool staff will email you with the status of your application.
3. If accepted, a $145 registration fee will be charged to the credit card provided.
Please note:
– Registration is first come, first served.
– Class capacity (minimum 4 children per class):
3’s Program: first 12 students per class
Pre‑K: first 16 students per class
Pre‑K Enrichment: first 20 students
– You will not see real‑time class availability. Please allow 2-3 days for email confirmation.

At Light of Life Preschool, every program is designed to nurture children in a safe, joyful, and faith‑filled environment. From the first steps of our 3‑Year‑Old Program to the readiness of Pre‑Kindergarten and the added depth of our Enrichment classes, we provide age‑appropriate learning experiences that balance play, discovery, and Christian education. Children explore creativity through art, music, and hands‑on activities, while also building skills in pre‑reading & pre‑math. Small class sizes ensure each child receives personal attention and care.
3 Year Old Program
Schedule: Tuesday & Thursday, 8:50–11:20am or 12:00–2:30pmAge Requirement: 3 years old by August 31, fully toilet trained
Tuition: $275/month (Sept–May)
Class Size: 12 students max, 6:1 student‑teacher ratio
Program Highlights:
Progress reports & parent/teacher conferences in fall & spring
Christian education woven into daily activities
Age‑appropriate learning through discovery, play, and social interaction
Centers: creative arts, role play, pre‑reading & pre‑math, cooperative learning, sensory play, reading loft
Faith learning: songs, prayer, weekly Bible stories, monthly chapel
Pre‑math skills: counting, patterns, sorting
Pre‑reading skills: Zoo‑Phonics program for letters & sounds
Healthy snacks provided daily
Field trips (parents & siblings welcome!)
Pre‑Kindergarten Program
Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 8:50–11:20am or 12:50–3:20pm
Age Requirement: 4 years old by August 31
Tuition: $359/month (Sept–May)
Class Size: 16 students max, 8:1 student‑teacher ratio
Program Highlights:

Christian education integrated with developmental activities
Faith learning: songs, prayer, weekly Bible stories, monthly chapel
Pre‑math skills: counting to 100, patterns, sorting, more
Pre‑reading skills: Zoo‑Phonics program for letters & sounds
Centers: creative arts, role play, cooperative learning, sensory play, reading loft
Healthy snacks provided daily
Field trips (parents & siblings welcome!)
Enrichment Program
Schedule: Extends Pre‑K classes to 4 hours/day
AM Class: 8:50am–12:50pm
PM Class: 11:20am–3:20pm
Age Requirement: Pre‑K students enrolled in M/W/F classes
Tuition: Additional $159/month (Sept–May)
Class Size: 20 students max, 10:1 student‑teacher ratio
Program Highlights:
Stronger transition to full‑day kindergarten
Weekly STEAM activities (science, technology, engineering, art, math)
Collaborative art projects
Extra pre‑reading practice
Daily rhythm, music, and movement time
Lunch time (students bring sack lunch)
More outdoor exploration and play

Scholastic Book Clubs Ordering Information
Class Activation Code: HB2PX
Each month your teacher will send home a flyer filled with affordable books just right for your child’s age and reading level. Kids read more when they choose their own books, so I encourage you to let your child help make selections.
You might remember flipping through the Scholastic flyer when you were in school, eagerly circling your choices, and handing the form to the teacher. Your kids can do the same, but you can also order books online, which is simple, convenient, and saves time.
To start ordering online, follow these simple steps:
1. REGISTER at Scholastic Book Clubs’ secure Web site and create your own user name and password.
2. ENTER the one time Class Activation Code above to link you to your child’s classroom and teacher recommendations.
3. BROWSE the wide selection of books with your child.
4. PAY safely and securely for your selections using your credit card.
5. SEND the order to your child’s teacher online.

WEATHER RELATED CLOSURES
We follow the Tahoma School District, if the Tahoma School District has scheduled a 2-hour late start, the preschool will open for the AM Classes at 9:40am. PM Classes will run on a normal schedule. If TSD closes for the day, Light of Life Preschool will also be closed for the day.
Your SAFETY is most important to us. We understand that living in the PNW many areas have different road conditions. If you feel the road conditions by your home are not safe to travel, please stay at home.
Should it ever be necessary to close the school for an emergency prior to the scheduled dismissal time, the teacher will follow the emergency plan outlined in your child’s file.
If it is possible, we will update this website and send out an email to all parents with information about closures or late starts.
